The Unforgettables Foundation, an Inland Empire based charity that was conceived 20 yrs ago this winter, is presenting 3 powerful expressions of appreciation to dozens of individuals, families, businesses & foundations from across ALL of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties on 3 consecutive Fridays.

The Unforgettable Heart Awards was created by State Senator Mike Morrell of Rancho Cucamonga and Chaplain Tim Evans, CEO/Founder of The Unforgettables/TUF, 8 yrs ago to say thanks to some  the big-hearted givers in the region each year. Since then, 9 luncheons/breakfasts called Unforgettable Hearts Awards have happened in 3 regions— the Inland Empire, the High Desert, and the Coachella Valley/Low Desert areas. “The idea and concept has really worked and hit the hearts of locals” says Evans.

Starting in 2012,the IE original is in its 7th year, while added versions in the HD are in year 3 and CV in its 2nd event for 2018. That's 9 today recognition events— with over 300 total people and groups being  put in the spotlight to highlight great good being done. For each area, key political leaders from both the Democrat and Republican parties participate as Emcee’s, stage participants and Keynoters. Congressman Paul Cook, Assemblyman Jay Obernolte, Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia, County Supervisors Robert Lovingood and James Ramos, and State Senator Jeff Stone have been featured speakers along with Morrell. Supervisors Rutherford and Gonzales and Redlands Mayor Pro Temp Paul Barich will be on the stage this year. ”The fact that Mike has been really open since day 1 to honor and involve both parties is a great example and statement that we can all champion for our children and families together even in a polarized country. The Unforgettables assists around 250 local families in each region per year to help with burial expenses for cash strapped families who have lost a child. www.unforgettables.org

The High Desert event is in Victorville at the Hilton Garden at 11 am on Feb 16, and the Low Desert is on Feb 23 at Pirch in Rancho Mirage. Board chair Mitchell Morales, a funeral industry professional from Phelan who has personally experienced the loss of a child, will welcome guests at the events.

"That our low capacity, small non profit shares our event time to bring the work of about 20 other causes to light sets an example that there's enough money for all of us out there and we need to help and champion amongst us.The Senator and I agree with an attitude of gratitude! ” muses Evans.
