Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
Our many city-sponsored events provide unique opportunities for residents to gather and celebrate the community we’re building together. One of our newest events, which has also quickly become one of the most popular, is Race Across the Base.
Join us on Saturday, March 7, at March Field Park,15415 6th Street, for a day filled with fun, fitness and friendship – and some healthy competition, too.
This all-ages event includes a 5K Run, 1K Kids Fun Run, fitness and resource fair, medals, t-shirts, food vendors and prizes. The 5K Run check-in time is from 6:30-7:30 a.m., with the race beginning at 8 a.m. Kids 1K Fun Runners need to check-in between 7:30-8:30 a.m. That race begins at 9 a.m.
Registration fee for residents for the 5K (10 yrs+) is $25 ($30 day of). 1K Kids Fun Run (5-12 yrs) registration fee is $10 ($15 day of). It’s a few dollars more for non-residents, but both residents and non-residents can register for both races online at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/55205. Online registration includes a small service fee, but is still a savings over race-day registration.
And there is still time to join our gracious sponsors, Falcon Engineering Services and Moreno Valley Utility, by submitting the city’s 2020 Race Across the Base sponsor form available on the Race Across the Base page under Parks & Community Services.
Popular city events like Race Across the Base help build and strengthen our community, so I hope to see you all there on March 7!
