The Veterans Wall of Freedom broke ground in 2011.

The Veterans Wall of Freedom Organization and the Foundation of Grand Terrace regretfully announce the cancellation of the Memorial Day Ceremony that was scheduled for May 25, 2020, at the Veterans Wall of Freedom in Grand Terrace, California.   The ceremony has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic restrictions and especially out of concern for our veterans, many whom are elderly. For those that have ordered plaques for their veterans in the last six months, special arrangements have been made to open the Veterans Freedom Park for limited visitation to the Veterans Wall of Freedom. Families whose veteran’s last name begins with the letter A through L can visit the park between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Memorial Day. If the veteran’s name begins with M through Z, families may enter the park between 11 a.m. and 12 noon. Plaque certificates will also be available to be picked up. The number of individuals entering the park at one time may be limited and social distancing will be observed. Although the ceremony has been cancelled, the public is asked to honor those members of the military that gave their life in service to our Country by flying the US flag at their home or business. If possible, the flag should be flown at half-staff until noon, then raised to its full height until sunset.   For more information on the Veterans Wall of Freedom, please visit veteranswalloffreedom.org.  For more local news and information click here.
