This summer Stater Bros. Charities donated $100,000 and over 150,000 pounds of fresh and healthy food to our local food banks to help bolster food reserves and alleviate child hunger in the communities we are privileged to serve. When school is out of session children do not have access to free or reduced-priced school meal programs and families struggle to make ends meet.
“Stater Bros. has always believed in not just doing business in the community but being part of the community and we are proud to partner with our local food banks and local non-profit agencies to help feed our neighbors in need,” said Nancy Negrette, Chairman and President of Stater Bros. Charities.
These donations were made possible through the generosity of our valued customers and family of employees. During the Harvesting Hope in Our Community holiday campaign, Bag of Hope donation cards were available to purchase at all Stater Bros. Market locations. The proceeds resulted in the following donations to our local food bank partners.
