Vista Blue Mountain Senior assisted living and memory care hosted a lemonade stand to help the Grand Terrace Girl Scout Troop raise funds toward their Bronze project, a community based sustainable project that Girl Scouts are eligible to participate in once they receive junior girl scout status and complete a journey lesson.
The lemons came from a tree right there on location at Vista Blue Mountain, and the girls squeezed the lemons to help make the lemonade.
Many wonderful local residents stopped by to support the girls.
Girl Scout troop 76 has committed to providing community service outreach to Vista Blue Mountain senior residents for the year 2020, and hopefully for years to come. The Girl Scouts truly enjoy interacting with the senior residents and it is a wonderful way for our youth to intertwine with our elder generation and learn about their lives. They have wonderful stories to tell.
