The only child of Randolph (Randy) Thompson and Lucinda Dayes Thompson was born on November 11, 1963 in Los Angeles. Anthony P. Thompson died tragically in an aviation accident. His 1998 Cessna cargo plane crashed in a field in Rush County, Kansas on March 17, 2020. He was the pilot of the aircraft. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony (Paul) was a loving son. He was also a warm, kind and generous man who loved to help others. He had a love affair with flying. After graduating from college with a major in Aviation Science from Andrews College in Michigan, Anthony (Paul) enjoyed an over 20 year career of safely flying commercial aircraft while stationed in Florida. He aborted his career and returned to Loma Linda to care for his parents. In 2018, he relocated back to Florida and lived in Apopka, Florida. Soon after, he continued his flying career in Kansas working cargo flights with affiliates of Planemasters Corp of Chicago. A kind and caring man, he maintained a love for aviation and a greater love for his family and for religious activities. He will be greatly missed by his best friend Carl, his numerous cousins, aunt and his Seventh Day Adventist community. Due to the Coronavirus, burial services/memorial will be postponed. Memorial gifts may be made to Loma Linda University Hospital in Loma Linda, California. For more local news and information click here.
