GRAND TERRACE>> Team owner and driver Troy Butler II of Grand Terrace recently finished out the recent season with a big win.
Butler received Rookie of the Year and Division Championship in his No. 22 Butler Racing, Outlaw Figure 8 Race Car at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino on Saturday, Sept. 24.
This is Butler's first year in the Outlaw Figure 8 Division and after the recent win, fans are in for an exciting season in 2017.
"You can buy the whole seat but you’re only going to need the edge,” Butler said, in a press release.
Jamie Lynn Lopez of Butler Racing said the crowd at the show was on their feet, cheering on Butler as he flew through the intersection at 80 miles an hour narrowly missing fellow drivers for the championship.
Butler began his racing career in 1999 racing in the following divisions throughout the years; Tri-State Mini Stock, Golden West Tire Speed Truck, Street Stock Figure 8, Late Model and Outlaw Figure 8.
Butler Racing would like to thank the following 2016 Season Sponsors: American Metal Recycling, JLT Guatemala, J. Riley Distillery, Bakers Drive Thru, GT Imprints, La Pasta Italia, Old No. 22 Brand, Garcia Tires and Carpet Coop.
