To help communities dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste during the COVID-19 Crisis, the San Bernardino Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection facility is open to the public. The HHW collection facility will remain open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 am – 2 pm until further notice. Extra precautions and restrictions are being implemented to protect residents and staff from COVID-19 when collecting HHW from participants. The material re-use store will remain closed to the public until further notice. Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG) appointments, Oil Filter Events and Collection Events are being postponed until further notice.
Residents who have traveled nationally/internationally within the last month or are experiencing cough, shortness of breath or fever within the last 3 days, will be turned away and asked to return to the HHW collection site 2 weeks after symptoms subside. Residents who are unable to bring in their HHW during these times are asked to safely store their items at their homes until the COVID-19 situation improves. The public can contact the HHW Collection facility from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday at 1(800) Oily Cat or visit www.greensb.net for more up to date information.
